Homework task 24/09/09

Dear All,

Following our lesson on 'In The Pursuit Of Happyness' please plan and write a short essay on the following title:

'How are institutions and ideologies represented in the film 'In the Pursuit of Happyness'.

Write your plan onto your blogs (I would suggest 1x paragraph on each heading we took notes on) by Monday 28th September. I will comment and suggest how you proceed with your essays.

Essay can be emailed to me by Monday 5th October. Minimum of 5 paragraphs please.

Well done today guys, your observations have been excellent and you are really beginning to get to grips with these keys concepts.

Reading your blogs

Helloe All,

Thanks a lot for following our blog. We can't read any of them except for Pierre, Jack and Matty's blogs. Have you all created your blogs once on the system? There doesn't appear to be an active blog we can get into.

Please could you have this sorted by the next time you see us ( Wed 1 with Mrs B). Mrs Parish's lesson will be covered tomorrow so please could you use this time to get this done?

Many thanks,
Mrs B and Mrs P

Welcome to Cherwell Media blogging
This is Mrs Parish and Mrs Baird sending a message to our Year 12 media group. You will be following the OCR Media Studies A Level syllabus and we have set up this blog for you to use throughout the course. It will operate as a way for us to share information and ideas with you as well as, importantly, a way for you to be self reflective; a key requirement of the syllabus. This blog is basic in form. It will model the use of some functions, for example, hyperlinks and video postings. However, you will each be producing your own blog which you will maintain throughout the Media Studies course, the contents of which will form an important part of your final assessment for G321- the Foundation Portfolio Unit. Your blog will be, of course, more detailed, more inventive and will include a range of media through which you will be able to demonstrate to us (and your external examiners) your learning and understanding.Enjoy your Media lesson when we will be setting up your blogs with you. Please feel free to comment appropriately on this blog.
